what I ate: Nov. 10, 2011

This morning I really wanted to give myself a high-five after jumping on the scale and seeing I lost another pound from all this clean eating!  I have lost about a pound a day since Monday.  I don't usually recommend losing this quickly, but it is the first week (which usually is the most dramatic where you're losing all the bloat from unhealthy eating) and all I'm doing is eating moderately healthy - it's not like I'm cutting much out (other than too much cake and ice cream that used to be in there!)  So, this is very inspiring and will keep me strong for the upcoming weekend - my hardest time to stay good!

Here's what happened yesterday:

6am
- 40 minute run
(I was on my way to the gym, but then felt like continuing on running instead, so I did!)

7:30am
- 3/4 cup 2% cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup (when cooked) slow cooked oatmeal with cinnamon & raisins

10:30am
- 1 white cheddar rice cake
- 15 almonds
- green tea
 

12 - 1pm
- Teach boot camp class

2:30pm
- small turkey sub on brown
(was so hungry and having fun with my mom that I totally forgot to take a pic, so I'm using one I found on the internet to give you an idea!)

5pm
- package of Carl Buddig chicken deli meat
- apple
1/2 cornmeal muffin (Zak didn't finish it and it looked soooo good!)
- 5 cheesies (again Zak's fault - lol, just joking!)
- green tea
 

6 - 9:30pm
- Teach 3 classes (fitness & bellydance)

9:45pm
- yop
- 20 almonds


 I feel pretty good about this day of eating for me!  As you can see a few things crept in there that shouldn't have (like the muffin and the 5 cheesies!), but I hope this food blog will help you to see you don't have to be 100% perfect to make a difference - you just need to be mostly good!  Sometimes people chastise themselves for one little tiny screw up (in my mind) and that becomes negativity hanging over them and often causes more, larger screw-ups!  I like to get over it, swig some green tea, and feel happy and healthy as quickly as I can!

Also, other than breakfast, this whole day of eating was on-the-run and I barely packed anything today! Know you CAN eat healthy with a busy lifestyle like me if you really want to!  no excuses!
